What’s New:
Been watching for a while for anyone brave enough to try this….
Anyone happen to have an extra Palm Lock they dont rely on to open their door to test this on?
Since I haven’t seen anyone else reply, I did this. The firmware update applied as expected, and it still “unlocks” with my palm: It’s actuating mechanically as expected even though I don’t actually have it mounted on a door.
It didn’t seem to sense my presence at first after the update, so I navigated into the Battery Management screen and then selected Battery Saving Mode and then re-selected Auto (how it was set before). That seemed to properly reset its “wake up” function.
I did all this just a few minutes ago, so I don’t have any longer-term results to report.
Just curious, how/why is it you have one that isn’t installed?
I have one on my front door that I’m actually using, and that’s on production firmware 1.2.0. This second one I’m thinking about installing on the door to the garage, but I want to do some work on that door jamb first, and I haven’t gotten around to that.
Thank you!
But still so much more to test…
Open with code
Work with doorbell connected to unlock
Integration with Alexa and the like.
Working with the app,
Appreciate what you have done so far, just supprised you and I are the only ones to chime in,
I also have one on my Main door and an extra one, that I am planning to use on my Garage door.
I have installed the Firmware and am not experiencing any issues.
This worked when I tested it.
This worked when I selected Palm Lock within Battery Video Doorbell’s settings and then tested locking and unlocking from that doorbell’s live view screen.
This worked when I tested it with the Alexa app and an Echo Dot.
This appeared to function normally and without any apparent new issue for the limited features I tried.
Thank you!
Ok, I will throw my hat in too.
Fingers crossed!
