Packaging protection for shipment of cameras

I’ve recently received Wyze cameras (V3 and V4) from Amazon in bubble wrap envelopes, not in a padded box like how I normally received them in the past. Is this acceptable packaging condition for cameras (optical equipment)?

I think you should be in the Amazon forum on Reddit.

My cameras just came jammed in a box from Costco recently. No padding.

Wyze doesn’t have any control over Amazon (or any other reseller’s) packaging practices.

I get lots of stuff from Amazon in padded envelopes, including stuff much more delicate than Wyze cams. I’m sure they’re fine.

Shipments processed directly through Wyze are often packaged this way, as well. The most recent shipments I’ve received from Wyze (warranty replacements for a doorbell and bulbs) have been in padded envelopes, and they all connected and operated without apparent issue when I unpacked and tested them.

The one warranty replacement I got from them came from Amazon, so did a couple items I purchased directly from them last year. I have a v4 I ordered this past weekend pending shipment (from Wyze due to a nice cash back offer I had), we’ll see, will probably come from Amazon as well, they seem to use Amazon Fulfillment services for most of their stuff.

The floodlights and the Duo are packaged very well, good enough for the UPS guy to throw them around.
