So, my house is on the corner . Camera is in the carport looking at the house. Every time a car passes and the headlights hit the house, i get a notification of “ package detected.” Is there a way to limit this ?
Do you need Package Notifications on?
I only get Person Notification alerts from my cameras. If I get a Package delivered, my porch camera will give me a Person Notification.
The way the optional object detection works is first it uses just basic motion detection (x number of pixels change, which headlights will frequently trigger) then it uploads a still frame to Wyze for analysis. Something in the image is recognized as a package (something square/rectangle, etc) so it is throwing that detection.
You can try things like excluding objects like that from the detection zone, repositioning the camera, playing with sensitivity, etc, or as @StevenA mentioned, disable package notifications completely since there would always be a person delivering that package. Sometimes it is just a trial and error sort of thing.
