I have 4xOG, 1xOG-T, and 2x Panv3. Notifications completely stopped on all of them. Not a single Wyze notification on my phone all day. In fact after uninstalling and reinstalling the app as a troubleshooting measure around 6PM or so, I can’t even go in and set the sound I want, since it hasn’t sent a notification yet (which creates the place you can customize the sound in Android).
There was no app update or firmware update during that time. Looks like someone else (and a couple people they know) with v3s are seeing the same. May be the specific server that some people are assigned to. Actually maybe it is only affecting non-subscribers, since the event upload and notification logic is a bit different there I’d assume.
Keep me updated on that. If that doesn’t resolve it for you, I will definitely pass it on for you. It just looks like at least someone with the issue got it to resolve. I wonder if the notification settings got turned off for non subscribers on the previous app version somehow. That might explain why it still works for me and I don’t see the issue and why someone installing the new app got it to be fixed by toggling the settings off and back on once they updated.
Confirmed. No more changes or hacks on our end since yesterday, and it has not been a problem today. Thanks everyone.
Dave must have another issue altogether. I’d start with wiping the app permissions/cache/data, uninstalling and starting fresh. I’m assuming this process for Android, didn’t catch what platform he is on though. Good luck.
