Notification sound setting does not match actual

This topic might shed some light on the situation:

Despite of push notification changed to different sound, default sound is still present

I followed the instructions as the following: 1. Open the Wyze app and tap on the Account tab. 2. Tap Notifications, then Push Notifications. 3. Tap Notification Sound. 4. Adjust the sound to your desired setting: System Default: Matches your device’s OS notification sound.* Wyze Sound 1, Wyze Sound 2, or Wyze Sound 3: Unique sounds for the Wyze app.* HOWEVER, the default sound still sounds but not the designated sounds I chose. Please advise. Thanks

I never have been able to use any of the Wyze sounds for notifications. My impression from reading the Forum is that some users have been able to do so but that it may depend on what version/flavor of Android one’s device(s) use(s). For me, it’s seemed broken for so long that I just used Android system settings to control the notification sound, but I learned from responses in the topic I linked above that some Android(-ish) variants can’t do even that (it’s device-manufacturer-dependent).
