Not getting event text notifications

I have not been getting my event notifications for a while. I can’t recall when they stopped though.
Is there a fix? I saw someone posted something from November 2024 and they had the same issue. They posted the steps on how they fixed it but that didn’t work for me. I’ve checked everything to make sure notifications are on my phone as well as the app. I tried restarting the camera and my phone. I can’t understand what has changed.

I have OG cameras with SD cards and I am not subscribed to Cam Plus/Unlimited.

From time to time the events get recorded but I don’t get a notification.

The steps I follow to get notifications working again are:

  1. Logout of Wyze App
  2. Force Stop Wyze App
  3. Sign in to Wyze App
  4. Toggle Wyze App Notifications Off/On (top right Bell icon)

I haven’t been able to confirm but think it happens sometimes when a new Wyze App version is installed.

My only question is how do I do a Force Stop on the Wyze App?

Thank you again for the suggestion. I tried it and it didn’t work. I rechecked all my notifications on my he Wyze app as well as my and still no notifications for events. There were 2 that occurred.

Needless to say, I’m pretty frustrated. I’ve never had problems like this before. I just paid my annual subscription fee, If I hadn’t, I’d definitely be looking at other options.

Also, I never knew that was called a force stop. Lol

I just did a full reset, deleted the device, unplugged it, restarted the router, drank a glass of wine, then reset up the device as if it were new and voila!! I think it’s back to sending me notifications!! I’ve gotten 2 so far so I am pleased.
