Stopped getting event notifications

This is the third day that I’m not getting any event notification on six v3s on Cam Lite and one v4 on Cam Plus on two different locations, two different networks and two different ISPs. The events are being recorded on the cloud but no notifications are coming to my iPhone or iPad.

Cleared cache, reset services, offloaded the app, rebooted the iPhone/iPad, rebooted modem/router and no resolve.

Interesting thing is that yesterday after resisting services I would get a single notification from each camera and then nothing after that. Today I tried to replicate but didn’t work.

Any one else having same or similar issue?

V3 Firmware version: 4.36.16.7064

V4 Firmware version: 4.52.10.7103

iOS App version: 3.20.0 (20)

Wyze is doing a gradual release of v3 firmware 4.36.17.10? I am on this firmware and IOS App version 3.20.0 (20) and Notifications are working for me.

Yeah, looks like there is an issue with subscriptions as reported in this thread. I hope they fix it soon as this is beyond frustrating.

I spoke too soon. When I use my iPad I can see I have Wyze Notifications but never click on them. My last Wyze Notification was Thursday evening 8/27

Most of my other devices have Wyze Notifications Off so I did not notice I was not getting Wyze Notifications.

I have Cam Plus Lite.

I think the culprit is Cam Lite even though it’s affecting the one camera I have on Cam Plus as well. I’ll install the latest beta app and see if that makes any difference. The good thing is that the events get recorded on the cloud at least.

EDIT: It turns out there is no beta version of the app, it was released to production.

I, too have been experiencing the same problem in the last couple of days. It may or may not be related to the latest app update on my iphone (updated version 3.20.0.20). I have Cam Lite and now only receive notifications for motion and not for person. I did not notify Wyze yet. I’m hoping if there are enough people mentioning this issue on this Forum for the company to notice and to rapidly remedy this problem and at the very least, to acknowledge it and post a possible ETA for a fix. I have an apple SE2 phone, V2 camera (everything is up to date) and have been a Wyze customer since 2017.

I am also receiving intermittent app notifications for the past 48 hours. I have Cam Plus Lite, V2 camera, latest firmware, latest app version for iOS, rebooted the camera, reset the service, yada yada yada.
All of the 12-second recordings are in the cloud, but not in the app unless I refresh the recent events manually. I am getting about 1 in 5 notifications from the app.

AI says I need to unassign the camera from my subscription, close the app, then re-open it and assign the camera again in services. I’m really wary of trying this becuse my Cam Plus Lite is legacy and I don’t want to lose it if there are no cameras assigned.

I am no longer getting them on my Alexa. I have Cam Plus. Up until recently Alexa would notify me when motion was detected on my Floodlight cameras, with a different announcement for each camera. The only way I’ve been able to get notifications back on Alexa is disable the Wyze skill then reenable it. This does not seem to stick. I redid it last night, tested it, and went to bed. Go outside after lunch and found there was no notification on Alexa. This is a huge concern, I use my floodlight cams as a security measure. If someone comes up my driveway or through my side yard I need to know immediately on my smart speaker, not my phone.

I have somewhat of a similar issue with the Wyze-Alexa integration. My contact and motion sensor routines stopped updating in Alexa about a week ago even though the sensors still trigger normally in the Wyze app, all my Alexa routine that depend on sensors for notification stopped working.

I am on Android, using the latest version of the app. If you go under account (lower right), Smart Integrations, Alexa there is an option to link to Alexa account. When I hit the Smart Integrations option it briefly says Service is temporarily unavailable, please try again later. If you go ahead and link to my account I get notifications on Alexa again. I’m wondering if this is the culprit. I won’t know until morning when I see if the cam still triggers it or not. I set up a notification on my indoor camera so I don’t have to go outside to test it.

I already tried that and it didn’t help.

Just now started getting audible alert on my iPad for Cam Plus Lite Person Notifications. No iPad banner Notification though even after iPad restart which is odd.

I’m getting about half of the notifications on my phone. It is very clearly an issue with Cloud-to-app communication. All the videos are in the cloud but not in the app unless I do a manual refresh. This is not improving.

I bought a V2 for $25 7 years ago and was grandfathered into free Cam Plus Lite, I knew either the camera or Wyze would fail at some point. I’ve had 2 other tech support issues in the 7 years which they resolved. I’m thinking I got my money’s worth and then some. I’ll give it 24 hours more and then it will be time to part ways with Wyze.

I started receiving person notifications on the v4 with Cam Plus but nothing on the v3s with Cam Lite. Very frustrating.

Same here,

Only happens with my wyze cam 4 ? :open_mouth::thinking:

I am having the same issue. Can we safely say that WYZE is having some issue. I think it all started with the latest update. I have the Wyze skill on Alexa and have unlinked and linked. Cameras are all set as when were working and so is Alexa. Wyze can really get my goat sometimes. Of course, Microsoft is always up to something and maybe some of the updates are the culprit. Ironic as the company may know but the end user, who buys the product, is confused and spending time. Hope it all comes back pretty soon whether I get lucky and figure it out or the two - Microsoft or Wyze get with it.

Happens with my pan cam v3, pan cam v4 and Floodlight Pro. It’s not specific to one type of camera in my case. I got it elevated to one of their “wizards” who said they’d look into it. Notifications work to my phone just not to Alexa. The Echo is opaque and I don’t know how to contact Amazon but it sounds like it’s on Wyze end.

I am happy to announce that as of this morning all notifications are coming through as intended.

I think mine are, too. I received all three that I should have this morning. That makes sense because I purchased a competitor’s camera and it arrives today. You’re welcome.

So it took WYZE almost a full week to restore a basic function that people depend on. Can you name or think of another company that gets away with this kind of thing? Personally, I cannot and thought WYZE was finally past this type of thing. They’ve been plagued with these types of issues since 2018 and apparently there is no end in sight.
