I just got both the Door Camera and the Flood Camera.
The door camera gives me a 12 second video clip any time it does a detection recording, but the flood camera only does a photo. Why the difference? Is this configurable, or is this a means of trying to push people into the Cam Plus offering?
It’s mainly frustrating because I’m trying to reduce the false alarms I’m getting on the Flood camera, but the single frame isn’t showing me what the cause is for the detection.
I guess you have CamPlus Lite so the door camera (whatever model might be) is compatible with it but the Flood Camera is not.
Yeah, I think I actually figured it out and it’s inverse of what you said.
It looks like the Door camera is not compatible with Cam Plus Lite, but you get the 12 second recordings by default.
I found I’ve actually been paying $2/2 month forever for Cam Plus Lite, but had no cameras assigned to it. Whomp Whomp. I assigned the new flood cam and other cams I had to cam light now, so I should get 12 second clips going forward.
I think if I put SD cards in all my cams, the Cam Plus Lite isn’t really needed though.
I think I may still create a new topic about the motion detection tuning for the flood though.
