I was recently sent (2) new Wyze Smart Plugs in a box from Wyze. For some reason I’m not sure they sent me the newest version.
Model is WLPP1CFH and shows key symbol.
Can anyone confirm for me that this is actually the newest/latest version of Wyze smart plug? Thanks tlhutch4
The key identifies the newer 2021 version.
The key logo indicates it is a 2021 or 2022 CFH model, but only the firmware version installed to the plug will tell you if it is a 2021 or a 2022 model. What is the firmware version after being fully updated?
Also, what color was the quick setup card in the box? 2021 came with white cards, 2022 with blue.

Thanks guys, looks like I’m ok on all of my plugs. I’m attaching a shot of one of my plugs.
All my plugs have Key logo, say Device Model V2 and Firmware 1.2.0.233. Only difference between them seems to be different activation date because I purchased them at different times. Do you agree with my assessment based upon your input ?
Yes. 1.2.0.233 is the 2021 plug.
I believe the only thing different between the 2021 and 2022 is the 2022 plugs have the overheat warning cutout though I have not yet been subjected to how this happens on my 2022 plugs.
The activation date is when you installed it to your account.
