New 2.6 Beta App and Firmware released!

Can confirm the issues with step 2 of 3 “authenticating” and the rtsp firmware are now gone with the 2.6.33 version of the Android app. I can see the live streams again. Thanks!

With app version 2.6.33 (10/25/19) I can confirm that the washed out video playback is resolved . Thank you!

@secondary_2g, I promise we’re listening. Reading through the exchange between you and @rbruceporter has been very helpful and I’m noting each behavior you’ve detailed.

I’m grateful for the focus and care you (and the entire beta community) have taken to document these things and give us honest feedback. We won’t ever prefer collecting good or bad data – both forms help us improve our products and services. Keep those tickets coming, keep vocalizing things you want to see improved or addressed, and we will always consider what you have to say.

We’ve pushed an app update for Android and are actively working on an iOS version as well. I’ll keep everyone posted as soon as the iOS app update goes live. :upside_down_face:

Android has a new Beta 2.6.33 along with the new Beta Firmware 4.10.5.17 Pan and 4.9.5.17 V2 now, have you checked that out?

Yup, I’m running them now! All good, I didn’t see if @HDRock running those latest versions and I just wanted to double check.

I installed app version 2.6.33 on Samsung S4 Android 5.0.1, it is saying latest firmware version is 4.9.5.17 not 5.13
I have one V2 that is on 4.9.4.169 the rest of the V2s are still on 4.9 .4 .108
I still see some freezing with this app 2.6.33 and some event clips don’t want to load.
I’ll have to play with it more later

Updated my V2 firmware to 4.9.5.17 and the app (android) to 2.6.33, and on the camera with CMC enabled I don’t receive any notifications unless I enable “All Other Motion.” Just enabling “Person” results in no notifications, even thought Person Detection events are accurately identified as such in the app.

The problem with landscape view with app V2.6.33 has been resolved, when I rotate the device into landscape mode it does go to landscape mode but while viewing event clips turning it to landscape mode the image is gray and the pause indicator is there for 2 -4 seconds and , don’t like that so much

I’m still not able to turn sound off or on in landscape mode in event videos.
Also when I view event videos and click on playback, it would not jump to that moment in time but only to the end ( or current time) but not viewable because it’s toocurrent.

Also the time when viewing CMC videos is to redundant. The time should be in how many seconds or minutes and not the actual time like how it is with the 12 seconds videos.

Just noticed this. It’s a spelling issue not functionality issue so put it as low priority fit and finish. Says “Works With” on the menu, but “Work With” on the screen. Dropped the ‘s’.

Same here , viewing event clips in landscape mode in this new version ,V2.6.33 there’s still no way to turn sound on or off

I am unable to either, works fine on live view, but if I choose an event it only has the " full screen" button there and no speaker to Mute or on Mute.

Edit: this issue was brought up on the prior App and Firmware release too. Looks like they may still be working on it, or its not a priority.

Do I just use the send feedback on the wyze app? Or is there some other procedure to download a log and send they email?

On another note, I might be wrong, but I remembered the previous motion detected notifications have like a snapshot so I can toggle the down arrow in my notification panel to look at the snapshot to see if I recognize the car or person but it disappeared with CMC now. I would like that back.

Click on “Account” in your Wyze App:



And Of Course Fill out any Relevant information in regards to your issue.

Edit: If you have been directed to do So, when your email client opens you can address the email to the specific Wyze employee (if they ask for it to be sent to them)

Running V2.6.33
I tap on a event clip , I turn phone to landscape view , what happens ?
I get a grayed out view with a pause icon in the middle , 5 seconds of video I can’t see, after that , I zoom in then, I get a grayed out view with a pause icon in the middle another 5 seconds I can’t see , this is NOT going to fly

I can confirm this is an issue, happens to me on V2.6.33 also. Never noticed because I don’t usually go into landscape.
