Since the V2 cam has a magnet at the bottom you can mount it on any magnetic surface. I’m using a flat metal piece which I stuck to the wall to mount my cam.
This is a cheap solution for mounting your cam instead of buying the mounting kit.

I think they come with a ring you can stick to a surface, to provide a magnetic mounting place?
yes, they are. But I’m constantly changing the camera’s place and it’s a great solution instead of buying more mounting kits.
just use 3m command strips on the plate it comes with. you can move it anytime very easily
