Motion sensor not clearing

I’ve had a motion sensor over the front door which has been working fine, however this morning it triggered when I left the house and hasn’t cleared three hours later, still saying “motion detected, in progress”.
Any ideas? Apologies if this has been posted already.

I would force quit the App, you may be getting a false positive as it were. If it truly is reporting motion incorrectly removing and reinserting the battery will force it clear. Check for dust or dirt on the motion sensor itself and lastly be sure its not pointing at a mirror. Had that give me fits for a week before I figured it out.

Also be sure it has good signal strength. I’ve had motion and contact sensors that when they have very low signal strength.

I had this recently and took the battery out for a full minute and did a power cycle on the camera with the bridge…just in case…cleared it right up ( sorry for the pun)

It’s actually going again. I force closed the app, Powered off the camera with the bridge. Wiped the sensor to make sure there was nothing on it. After all that it was still showing “in progress” but about 30 minutes later it cleared.

Actually forget that, it’s now completely stuffed. Marked as offline. I tried deleting it and re-adding, however when I put the pin it, to add it back it flashes 5 times instead of 3 and does not show up at all, so I guess it’s SNAFU!
