Low volume

I have the doorbell camera. It works really good but even though it is wired it doesn’t ring my home doorbell like the other doorbell cameras did.

It came with a plug-in ringer which is working but it has very little volume unlike other cameras like the blink.

Is there a way to increase the volume? Thanks.

If you open the doorbell and go to Settings :gear:, then click on Accessories, then Wyze Chime, then Tunes, you can set the volume from 1 to 8 and select a different tune.

In addition to what @SlabSlayer has provided, there have been a number of individuals who inadvertently left the plastic film on the plug-in chime. This also caused the Ringer to be muted some.

So, make sure there is no film over the speaker on the chime.

I found it but when I set the volume and chime i wanted there was no save. I used the back arrow but the volume and chime reverted back to what it had been. Only the name changed but there was a save button for that. I thrived doing the volume, chime then changed the name and saved but the volume and chime still reverted back. What am I missing?

By the way can you use a solar panel on the outdoor v3? Thanks.

Thank you Spamoni4, I did see and removed the plastic.

There was a recent outage, could you try again?

Also, the solar panel only works on the battery cams

When you change the volume or the chime tune, you should hear an immediate audible feedback from the chime with that tune and volume played. These are immediate saves. Clicking the back carrot and returning to the Chime Settings page should reflect those changes. The only reason these would not save is if there was a loss in connection between the phone, the doorbell, and the server.

There is no “Outdoor V3”. The V3 cam and the PanV3 cam are both rated for outdoor use, however they are both Wire Powered (plug in) cams that cannot use the Solar Panel.

The Solar Panel will only work to recharge the batteries on Wyze battery powered cams, specifically the Wyze Cam Outdoor V1 and the Wyze Cam Outdoor V2.

Thank you, I will ensure the chime is connected.
