lOCK Bolt is good, but, maybe the design that has a mounting screw under batter not so good?

I have a few different Wyze devices and I like them a lot. So I just installed a new lock-bolt and although I had a couple of kerfuffles installing, it seems to work nicely.

My one dislike is that I can’t secure the interior part to its backing, because in the kit I got, the number 14 screw head protrudes into where a battery case needs to sit. I’m surprise that no one has found the same issue, do you like having your deadbolt assembly just wiggle around on your door? I don’t.

Parts seems to show a replacement parts set with 2 short black screws, but they aren’t in the shipping boxes, and I’m not sure they would be any help under the circumstances.

The decision to locate a mounting screw underneath a battery makes me really grumpy.

Okay, I need to correct myself. Eventually, I found the smaller 2 screws were combined in the package with the doorframe parts. I didn’t need the new door jamb parts, so I had not closely examined ALL the included parts. I still don’t like needing to take a battery out in order to secure the lock to the mounting plate, but using them DOES make the lock fully stable and secured to the door.
