Well, the oldest Wyze leak detectors sensors are approx 2 years old now. In my notes, it says the batteries last 18 months. So… is the Wyze app sending notifications about weak batteries? Has anyone found one of their sensors with a dead #batterybump
i think I’ll just replace them batts…
I haven’t put the leak detector on the bench and hooked it up to the voltage regulator… yet. It’s on my to do list.
But, if it’s anything close to how the Contact Sensors react, no notification is sent. Those will only show a low battery in the app device list and on the sensor page. I have yet to test how that displays if it is in a group. They will also not update the battery status unless they are physically opened or closed.
So…
Probably a good idea.
