Lamp Socket v2 is a Huge Improvement!

I just wanted to say I recently upgraded my Lamp Sockets from v1 to v2, and it finally works the way I had hoped it would all along. My setup: a Wyze Cam v4 at the driveway that’s powered by a lamp socket. Another lamp socket is at the front door, and the two lamp sockets are in a group controlled by the camera. The door light and driveway light are on the same electrical circuit and controlled by the same wall switch, so without the lamp sockets connecting reliably, I cannot control the door light manually. The v1 lamp sockets rarely grouped together, and even the socket connected via USB to the camera did not work consistently. The v2 lamp sockets have completely solved the issue. Very reliable for both lights, I’m now considering installing more. I highly recommend the upgrade.

Welcome to the Forum, @ecstoc!

I wonder if this is peculiar to Lamp Socket v1 and Cam v4, because it reminds me of another recent topic where a user was seeing Lamp Socket v1s becoming disconnected from Cam v4 and subsequently grouping with another Lamp Socket v1 connected to a Cam v3. I think Lamp Socket v2 is going to be the real solution for that one, too.

I’m not certain who the Product Manager is for Lamp Socket v2, so I’ll ping @WyzeJasonJ to pass along the kudos. Thanks for sharing your positive experience! :+1:
