Welcome to the Forum, @mitch.mintz58!
This seems to be a longstanding issue with iOS users of the Google Home app, and there are several relevant Forum topics discussing it, though I’m unaware of any resolution so far. My experience with Google Home on Android has been hit-or-miss. Often the cameras will load, but it’s a laggy load, and using the Wyze app tends to provide the best experience.
I’ve had a fairly solid experience with Google Home and my Hisense TV (running Google TV), so I’m not sure what’s going on with your particular setup. In fact, I’ve been able to use a Google Home Mini in the same room as the Hisense TV to ask Google Assistant to show me a doorbell feed from a different Google Home Household (where I was a member) to show video from a (non-Wyze) camera, and that worked better than I expected.
My Google Home experience isn’t flawless, and sometimes I have to ask twice to get a camera to show on the TV, but it’s generally pretty good and even works with Google Home routines to show video triggered by Wyze Automations. The Wyze Cameras generally play nicely with a Chromecast device and a Google Home Hub (1st Gen), as well.
I recently noticed on the Chromecast (and then on the Hisense TV) that a Google Home tile is now available in the Settings, which is cool, because now I can use the TV remote’s D-pad to load cameras and turn lights and fans on and off without talking to Assistant (and possibly be misinterpreted). Maybe see if your TV’s OS/apps have updates available and reboot if you haven’t done that recently? That’s where I think I’d start troubleshooting.
