Is there any plans for wyze to get the duo camera doorbell, since its bluetooth, to link up to the wyze lock bolt like the doorbell pro does?

I have a new Wyze Lock Bolt and have it working fine, but I want to access it from outside my home. I also have a new Wyze Duo Doorbell and it has a Chime. Can I use the Chime module as a gateway and then be able to access the doorbell from my phone anywhere via the Wyze app on my Android phone?
Support recommended that I should use the Wyze Lock instead of the Wyze Lock Pro, but its a much more limited product and I think the Bolt is a great product, but I need the keypad and fingerpriint reader, but I also want alerts when the lock has been opened or left open too log and to confirm that the front door has been locked.
The Wyze lock does everything the Bolt can do… Including remote management.
It just doesn’t have a fingerprint reader. I use my keypad for it all the time.
It works flawlessly with the Duo Doorbell.
I think you’re asking a couple of different questions here, and I’ll start by saying that I don’t have any direct experience with Duo Cam Doorbell or any of Wyze’s lock products.
I don’t believe the new Wi-Fi Chime works that way. My understanding of Wi-Fi Chime is that it’s essentially an independent Wi-Fi device (which is why it can work with other Wyze cameras and doorbells and why Wyze plans to sell it separately at some point) that connects to your home LAN and communicates only via Wi-Fi. I believe Chime Pro included with Video Doorbell Pro does act as a gateway between your home router and the doorbell, but I don’t think the Wi-Fi Chime included with Duo Cam Doorbell does this.
You should already be able to do this whether the Wi-Fi Chime is installed or not, as long as your Duo Cam Doorbell has been setup correctly. If what you actually meant was remote access to your Lock Bolt that way, though, then that’s a different question entirely.
I do know it does not link at this time. When I purchased the same combo, knowing it didnt link yet but tech rep did say since its bluetooth, that it should be coming soon. I purchased same combo in the hopes it links sooner than later. Fingers crossed that Wyze gets smart and does the integration between the lock bolt and dual camera.
I agree that the products should work together if they have the technical capability, and both Lock Bolt and Duo Cam Doorbell have Bluetooth, as you said in your initial post, so that doesn’t seem like an unreasonable expectation to me. The only official response from Wyze that I’ve seen is in the AMA that was mentioned in the other topic I linked above. I haven’t seen a request for this specific integration on the Wishlist, so maybe that should be a new topic in that category.
