Is there a company that will monitor Wyze cameras at night?

I’m hoping for a recommendation for a type of monitoring service that Wyze cannot provide (yet). Specifically, I am setting up about two dozen Wyze Cams under a single Unlimited Pro account, and I need to find a company that will provide live monitoring of the feeds at night.

I would like to hire someone who can contact the police if any thieves and burglars come onto private property in the middle of the night. The Wyze Cams can provide an AI alert of human figures, but someone needs to be awake to see it and respond in a timely fashion. Plus in some cases the person who is detected is just an accidental passerby. So does anyone know of a company that can monitor the account, check the video in case of an AI alert, and then call the local police if they actually spot a burglary in progress?

I’ve checked with several alarm monitoring companies in my area, and in every case they only provide monitoring with their own security systems. Does someone know of a company that is camera agnostic, so to speak, and can monitor cameras installed by a third party?

Right now, Wyze Cam Unlimited Pro will only work with Noonllight monitoring, and while they will call police for you in some circumstances when the system is “Armed”, it doesn’t work exactly the way the want and you may be subject to false alarm fees in some cases. I wouldn’t recommend this if you know some cases are just an accidental passerby. However, there are ways to work around this with things like setting detection zones, etc. But I believe Noonlight primarily relies on contacting you and letting you tell them if it’s a legit alarm or not. I haven’t really tested the version where they see the camera events (I primarily use the sensor security system).

Having said that, the good news is that Wyze is currently in the process of developing RTSP for several cameras! The first batch is anticipated to go through Beta testing as early as next month sometime, and they’ve confirmed they will be adding RTSP to more and more camera models over time. Once they have RTSP enabled on their cameras, there are actually lots of monitoring companies that are “camera agnostic” as you call it.

I’ve heard of companies like 3dEYE or Blue Eye that will do something like this.
Possibly ask “Pioneer Security” or “AvantGuard + Eyeforce” too.
From everything you said, I think you’d be most interested in using “Blue Eye” but you’ll have to wait until Wyze enables RTSP on their cameras. They’re in the middle of development at the moment, and we were told testing should begin in October on the first batch of camera models and the first launched cameras ready by the end of the year. I’m not sure which camera models you are using, but the first batch should include the following:

We had an AMA recently indicate that more cameras will get RTSP after that.

Thanks, this was very useful information. I’m using multipe Wyze Cam v4’s at the moment, which I assume will be upgradable to RTSP. I’ve also reached out to Blue Eye for a quote.

In the short term I may have to resort to a couple of Tapo C121 cameras, since they already have RTSP support. However, they are a pain to mount and nowhere near as versatile as the v4.

Your welcome.

I’m certain you are correct that the v4s will also get rtsp. The executive that has been discussing RTSP initially anticipated that model being in the first batch to get rtsp, but It appears to not be part of that first batch after all, but since he was initially anticipating it would be one of the early ones to get adopted to rtsp because it is one of the most popular camera models, and he indicated they wanted to do it with their most popular models, I’m sure it will be included in the second batch, assuming the testing on the first batch goes as well as we all hope.

Heh, That’s basically what I’m doing while I wait for Wyze’s official rtsp launch. I have about 4 cheap cameras from a couple of different brands that natively support rtsp, and will cover my most important areas while I wait. Though I use mine more for automations than for manned security.
