Intermittent Failure to Load Video Feed on iPhone or MacBook

I have 4 Wyze v3 cameras outside of my house. I used the latest version of the Wyze app (3.2.7.1) on my iPhone 14 and my MacBook Air macOS Sonoma 14.1.1. There are times where some of the camera feeds don’t work on the iPhone but work on my MacBook and vice versa. It’s also not any specific camera. Yesterday, two of the camera feeds weren’t working on the MacBook app but they were working on the iPhone app. Today they are all working. I know that the Wyze app is not verified for macOS.

Any thoughts?

That is an indication of an unstable internet and a buggy Wyze app. I have the same issue on my iPhone, iPad and Mac mini. Cameras randomly fail to load with no rime or reason. Exiting the app and relaunching fixes the issue 90% of the time.

Interesting. Relaunching the app almost never fixes the problem for me. I’ve tried it many times.

In that case I suspect congested network or ISP issue. Do you have your own router or are you using ISP supplied modem/combo?

I have internet service through my local cable provider. They provide the broadband router but I am providing my own wireless router.

I would look into the router settings and try to figure out if there is something there that interferes with the cameras talking to Wyze servers.

OK. Thanks.
