Inquiry About Keypad Lock Availability and Alternatives

I’m writing to ask about the availability of the Wyze keypad lock that I currently use. Since I’m in a wheelchair, having a keypad entry is crucial for me, as it allows me to enter a code without needing to be close enough for fingerprint or palm scans.

It appears that this lock model might no longer be available, and I’d appreciate any recommendations for a similar keypad-based lock that meets the same accessibility needs.

Thank you very much for your help!

In your situation, I imagine you’re using the original Wyze Lock and have Wyze Lock Keypad installed in a location that’s more easily accessible to you than the physical lock itself. Is that correct? Or maybe you’re using the Lock Keypad as a remote?

If you’re thinking about remaining within the Wyze ecosystem, then I wonder if you use any third-party smart home platforms, like Google Home or Amazon Alexa. Both of the recent Wyze lock releases—Palm Lock and Lock Bolt v2—use Wi-Fi connectivity and support integrations with those two platforms, so you could potentially do something like ask Google Assistant to lock or unlock a door (with such a lock) for you, for instance if you’re indoors and need to control a lock. You can also use the Wyze app for locking/unlocking.

I’m not really familiar with other manufacturers’ smart locks if that’s what you’re asking about, but I’m curious to learn more about your specific situation and use cases, because that might spark some other ideas.
