My wifi cameras to watch my horse are 150 feet away from router. Much of the time I my they wont connect to my PC and android phone.
What type of extender or booster is recommended? If possible I would prefer not to use an antenna that requires an ethernet cable drilled through house to router
You can upgrade to a Mesh system or use any extender that has a 2.4Ghz signal the one I have is this Amazon.com , but I did have to connect a cable to it , I ran it above the doors with 3m clips.
To eathernet, in my case I have it very far away from my router, so I use it as an AP that is hardwired, it fit my budget and is doing what I need, I only mentioned it because it’s the one I have.
N300(Newer Model) is the one that I happen to have, but there are many others, I am not sure it would be the best fit for you and you should let others weigh in as well.
I was having issues with my farthest cam loosing signal at the very least once per week with my supplied spectrum router. After a bit of research I went with a mesh system starting with 1 meshforce M7 planning to have to buy a second meshforce M7 or m3 to go with it but 1 router was more than enough. It’s been a few months and I’ve not had a single issue. It alone has way more range than my other router did.
I have successfully used a powerline adapter ( TP-Link AV1000) with a V2. I had a carport (which collapsed a week ago) and plugged the extender into the carport on a short extension cord, So if you have an outdoor plug on the same transformer this might work.
I use the same TP-Link AV1000 from my house to a detached garage. I have a Wifi Access Point in the garage supplying Wifi to 4 cameras and other devices.
A Wyze v2 is a indoor camera, there are several Wyze cams a pan cam, a v2, a v3, and the WCO which is wyze cam outdoor. The v2 stands for version 2 of the original wyze cam which is not sold anymore.
