I am writing to propose a solution for accessing my camera over the local area network (LAN). I would like the capability to enter the IP address, username, and password (including two-factor authentication) to receive notifications on my app whenever someone attempts to remotely view the camera.
My goal is to stream the camera feed to my workstation on the same network without relying on additional hardware, emulators, Phone Link, or cloud services. I am puzzled as to why access is restricted to certain devices, particularly when the Android app clearly shows the IP address.
In my current office setup, I cannot see the door, making it difficult to monitor who is entering. It seems like a fundamental feature to be able to access the camera over LAN from any device, not just Android.
Additionally, I have previously used a Raspberry Pi to monitor my 3D printer, which suggests that streaming to a computer should be a straightforward solution. I would be open to purchasing software that enables me to view any Wyze cam, but I have zero interest in using cloud services.
Thank you for considering my request.
