I did this for a while when they came out. Then I wanted a solution that wouldn’t require me to keep charging the batteries, so I put a Wyze lightstrip under the railing and then put some motion sensors at the top and bottom of the stairs to automatically turn it on and off. :slight_smile:

Yeah. I have several of these around the house. The rechargeables are in the kitchen, I use the battery powered else where but each are just for motion at night.

The say the charge on the Wyze units last for up to 3 months? They mentioned linked lights cut down that range. I usually get one month out of my kitchen-under-the-cabinet lights.
