I’ve no problem with no cable being provided, but it would be nice if Wyze offered an option that fit these. I bought the dual pack, 6 total lights which to me is perfect for stairways between floors. One ever 3rd step. But getting them all charged is a bit of a cord use strain. I did run across this which works great. Amazon.com But, still would have been nice to see Wyze provide this or similar cable for separate purchase of the lights.
I have 2 sets of 3 installed with the stick on metal disc. They light up a hallway at night and the “all turn on at once” is a great feature.
Like you the recharging can be a pain. I was hoping to get a month or more out of a charge but am only getting 3-4 weeks. What I’ve observed is the charge is dependent on how often the light comes on. They do not die at the same time. I would say I need to recharge at least 1 every few days. A couple of times I’ve had two on the charger. Of course that ties up a couple of c cables and ports on the charger.
I Iike your solution. I may spend the $10 just to simplify things.
I may also turn off the “all on at once” feature and see if that increases battery life. But I may not. There is nothing like seeing the hallway light up in the middle of the night.
I think the night lights are an unsung hero in the Wyze product line.
