I upgraded my recording plan to unlimited and still have 5 minute cooldown

I had the OG Plus cloud storage plan and started getting these 5 minute notes next to a recording. Not every single one, but the majority. I read and researched the causation and found nothing of significance to fix the issue. I just upgraded to The unlimited plan and that had no effect? Is it time to dump the Wyze cameras and getting something better or does someone have a suggestion?

I think you should go here https://my.wyze.com/ and log into your account. Go to services and see if your Cam Unlimited is active and then check to see if your camera/cameras are assigned to Cam Unlimited, (Cameras on this plan)

I can relate. It all began on December 24. I currently have around 10 original cameras spread across three different locations, and all of them have entered a cooling-down period, which has never occurred before. I initially suspected it was a problem with the beta version, but I reverted to the stable version, and the issue persisted. Furthermore, you’ll observe that the SD cards are not recording during the cooling-down phase, even with continuous recording enabled. The web portal for viewing the cameras has also significantly declined in quality.

Have you tried checking your settings to ensure the cams are associated with your Cam Plus/Unlimited subscription?

Wyze automatically adds the cams to the plan. You can no longer decide to opt in/out. So yes, every single of my cams has been associated with the unlimited plan for over 1 year and they are still on the plan. Wyze doing some shady stuff in the background.

After reverting to stock firmware, did you do “reset services” on the cams?

A bug in beta firmware is not “shady”. It is what you signed up for.
