Never again Wyze

Hello friends, your cameras will soon stop recording, all models. Today I have six cameras that have stopped recording. They only work for live broadcasts. What they’ve done is regrettable. If I had known, I wouldn’t have bought them. I recommend against buying them, as they force you to subscribe at a very high cost per camera. Never again Wyze.

Seriously, Wyze cameras have issues, mainly because of bad software dev practices, but it’s not that bad. There must be other underlying issues in juan2025app’s case.

Can you provide some facts behind this?

I have many cameras which continue to record and my In-Laws have cameras without a subscription that record to SD Card with no issues.

What issues are you having? Can you provide the type of camera, the app version you are using, if you contacted Wyze and provided a log, and the model of Cameras to include the Firmware you have.

Curious if something is up with the setup or firmware.

My guess is the OP might have had Cam Plus Unlimited subscription and let it expire. If cameras do not have SD cards, all 6 cameras would stop recording video at the same time.

Hopefully, the OP will chime in with more information.

Friend, all the cameras have new SD cards, I changed them, restarted the cameras and they were disabled. This happened with the latest update of the application, they send a command in it that disables recording, this is what happens.

Why they didn’t send that same command to my cameras, friend?

Have you tried doing a Full format of the SD cards in a computer?

Why do they expire? I bought mine all together and they all had the same activation date, and I think that’s why they all stopped recording when I updated the app. They still work live and are only good for this. Too bad.

I have a number of cameras with SD Cards not in Cam Plus and they are working fine with the latest Firmware and App. I also use the Android App as you do.

You have posted this for sometime and we are not discounting that you have an issue, but can you please provide more information on your setup and if you reached out to Wyze.

If you have some facts or evidence that Wyze has done this, please share it here.

I have a feeling that you got the new UI on the app and don’t see the playback button anymore. You have to click on the SD icon to view recordings on the SD card now.

Dude, I’ve had the cameras for 2 years. Do you think I don’t know how to use the app and that I have nothing better to do than sit here complaining? Are you from Wyze? Or the moderator? Did you know that Wyze blocked me on their forum for complaining about the cameras? They’ve stopped working. Search Google for “Sues Wyze” and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Just an FYI, @habib was offering some support and options as the UI did change. By no means were they questioning your ability. We are all here to try and help if we can.

It would be helpful if you can provide some additional information to allow others to assist if possible. In previous posts, I asked which cameras you were experiencing the issue, The Firmware Version, and even the App version you are using. If you provided a log to Wyze and opened a ticket. That would help as well.

Any additional information you can provide would be appreciated.

Also, can you please remove the space in the beginning when you post your comments. It adds a code and makes it hard to read as you have to scroll.
