I can’t download wyze app on my new android

Let’s start with some useful information. What is your phone and phone OS version? What happens when you try? Does your phone meet the system requirements?

samsung galaxy A13 5G … model SM-S136DL

hardware version REV1.0

android version 13

( the above is all the same as my old samsung A03…but it is using the wyze 2.50 version of the wyze app… and wyze app works fine… )

it seems that it is the new wyze 3.0 app that is the issue

Apparently, you’re not the first user to report a problem with the new app and Samsung Galaxy A13. This one seems to be affecting a lot of users with different phone models that seem to meet the requirements for the v3.0 app, and a Forum Maven in another topic has offered to do some checking and keep us posted. In the meantime, if you feel comfortable with it, an alternative would be to download and install a previous app version from a site like APKMirror or APKPure.

I know they’re busy with some things but I haven’t heard back yet. Don’t want you to think I just left everybody hanging.

I didn’t think that at all, and I appreciate your chipping in. I just like to direct people who are experiencing this issue to your post because I still haven’t seen any official word from Wyze on the matter.

Yes, my phone “seems” to meet the requirements. I contacted wyze and they said “sorry”, you gotta “use another device”. i did try the APK Mirror… but I was intimidated with all the files it downloaded. I kinda felt something was wrong so i uninstalled the app. I’m not good at this kinda stuff. But keep me in mind if something else comes up

That’s understandable. If you want to try again to get just the Wyze app APK download, then maybe this will help:

Note that the “key” parameter in the download link has expired, but your browser should still redirect and take you to a valid download page to get just the APK. You want to make sure you click the correct ⤓ DOWNLOAD APK button (see the picture in the post above so you know what to look for), and that should get you the correct single file download for a previous version of the Wyze app, so at least you can use your stuff with your new phone until another solution comes along.

I can only guess its restricted for something like bad performance optimization of the app as its a lower performance device. There’s not really anything else about that device that is any different from any other Samsung device.

But, a rare possibility, is something is wrong with that specific device’s software from Samsung, the device itself, or with software stuff of the app and it has some oddity there because rare weird stuff happens, and it results in a bad problem.

There may very likely not be any way to know when or if it will ever be unblocked on the A13.

Sideloading is another thing. It may or may not work, and may not work from a number of other reasons that I don’t feel like getting into.
