UPDATE: I had my zone backwards! I have used Wyze Cameras for years but on this one I had everything I wanted to be ignored in the zone i was monitoring and NOTHING in the zone I wanted to monitor! SO STUPID!
I have a small flag on my deck so the area the flag is in is not part of my detection zone yet when it moves in the wind it shows as a person.
I am getting LOTS of false detections… And I am paying for person detection and it never would happen when I had a V3 in the same spot and now my V4 is going off all the time. WHY? Can this be fixed?
It does kind of look like a leg to be honest, but I wouldn’t think that would be enough to trigger it.
I wonder if angling the camera down a bit (not enough to totally remove the flag, just some of the unnecessary space at the top) might change anything. You could try lowering the sensitivity or blocking out like 1 square in the middle of the flag to see if that makes any difference too.
Just to confirm you are getting Person alerts and not just plain motion?
Just to add the PM conversation here so others can benefit, you had your detection zone backwards from what you wanted. I was just assuming you only wanted to see people walking up the stairs and not on the deck (and I guess climbing your tree too )
Still doesn’t answer why the flag was seen as a “Person” but that’s AI for ya…
Let’s be honest you can’t even really call this AI - it is some fairly basic pattern recognition.
