Hub needs to confirm restored power not just power loss

Currently, as far as I can tell, the sense hub only gives a verbal report that it is running on battery. When it is restored to power there is no “power restored” message. Heck, even if the hub had a power light on the side that would be better than nothing. I have my hub perched on top of a piece of furniture and I need a step stool to reach it. I suppose another option would be to add information into the app showing whether the hub is running on external power or battery. Need something, right now I just have to unplug it and then plug it back into to make sure it’s powered. I’m using a usb A extension cable so it reaches from the top of my cabinet where it’s perched down to the floor and a few feet to the usb plug on my wall outlet and dog has been known to somehow manage to tug on the cable and unplug the hub, if I taped it up he’d probably pull the hub off the top of the cabinet or get himself tangled in it.

Great idea! I like it.

The hub currently sends a push notification if the server connectivity is lost. Would also like to see a push notification when it is restored.

The following would be great to have for audible hub announcements:

Connectivity Lost
Connectivity Restored
Power Lost - Running on Battery Backup
Power Restored - Charging Battery

In the App Device Info page, it lists how it is connected (Ethernet \ WiFi). It should also list how it is powered: Plug \ Battery.

I’ll take it a step further. My hub sometimes still says it’s running on battery even after power is restored!
This can go on for days. It will read 100% charge on the batteries for days, but still says it’s running on battery power.

Sometimes I have to unplug it, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in to get it to realize that it’s NOT on battery power.

I have seen that once.
