Can you configure the door and motion sensors to trigger an announcement on the hub whenever any door is opened or a motion detector picks up movement within a room? Not just a chime but an an actual announcement like: “Front Door Open” or “Living Room Sensor Active”.
Looked everywhere in the settings but couldn’t find it anywhere, just want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

No, the hub only supports doing a chime…HOWEVER, if you have any Alexa devices (including a phone, speaker, or tablet), you can integrate the Wyze skill into Alexa and then you can do custom announcements for all your Wyze sensors through any Alexa device!
I do this for several Wyze Sensors. When my mailbox is opened, Alexa announces “Mail Delivered” and when my pool gate is opened, Alexa announces throughout my house “Pool Gate Opened” and if a certain door is left open for x number of minutes, I have Alexa announce that it was left open.
If don’t have any Alexa Speakers, but you do have any old phones or tablets or something you can just install the Alexa app on those and program those to do the announcements for you, or have your own primary phone do it. But honestly, Black Friday is coming up so there will be a bunch of Alexa speakers on sale. I got some old first and second generation Alexa speakers for as low as $5 on Woot, and even newer ones as a special for $5…such as a deal like “try Spotify for 3 months for $5 and get a smart speaker for free”…basically pay $5 for the speaker and cancel the service to end automatically. There are lots of ways to get cheap Alexa speakers during the holidays if you set up a notification on Slickdeals or something to message you about any deals.

I got really tired of the lack of functionality with the Wyze sensors and hub. I’m now using YoLink products. They have all the sensors Wyze has and more, plus they have a speaker hub which will announce voice messages or sound alarms (including a siren) for doors, motion (indoor/outdoor), and any other of their products.
Much more complete environment than Wyze.
