Viewing events on my Windows 11 PC at Wyze Web Events. Great quality but cannot find any way to download an event video. Particularly need one that shows Amazon delivery vehicle running off the driveway (once again) destroying one of the adjoining lights!
What did you find when searching existing topics? The suggestion I’ve seen recently that appears to offer success involves buying a third-party application for downloading the videos. You easiest and most economical route is probably using your mobile device’s app to download the event and then transferring it to the PC. If you’re recording to microSD, then you could also pull that card and pop it into a PC to access the saved video files directly (but that may not be practical, depending on where/how your camera is placed), and if you do that it may be necessary to concatenate the 1-minute video segments in order to create a single video of what you want to be able to show.
Thanks very much for your response (which I’ve copied and saved for future reference). I’m totally mystified why WYZE has not provided an easy download capability for their PC Web Events viewer. Regarding the point you mentioned about accessing the physical SD card, you were right on target regarding inaccessibility - it would require a couple of people maneuvering a long extension ladder in amongst dense shrubbery!
Ended up using BlueStacks on my PC to emulate Android WYZE events and from there was able to do an easy download of the video I needed.
By the way, I did do a search of the forum before posting my question, but with no luck at all. If there are explanations already there, I must have been doing a bad job of searching. Again, thanks for your assistance.
You’re welcome. Dunno about a need to copy: You can bookmark topics or even individual posts on this platform (with Discourse’s internal bookmarking system), but if you’re not regularly active here then it probably makes more sense to do whatever you did.
For whatever it’s worth, this is the specific topic that came to mind when I saw yours, starting around here:
I agree that a download facility built into Web View would be a welcome feature, and it’s one that’s been requested in this Wishlist:

If I really need video footage to preserve for some kind of “evidence” situation, I generally prefer to pull it straight from the card (which means ejecting and physically removing the microSD card from the camera; I have cards in my Wyze Cams), but I understand that’s not always practical, and then “stitching” the videos involves a little work, too, but there are freely-available tools that make that relatively easy.
Your emulator work-around seems like a good idea. I’m glad that got you what you needed!
