Hello I’m thinking about getting the Wyze home Pro Monitoring but I notice it doesnt have battery backup. My question is if I purchased a UPC to power my modem, Router and Wyse Hub will I still have connectivity through the app. since the sensor are battery powered. I understand i wont have camera access in case of power failure because they will be on different outlets. Just want to make sure i still get notified through app or email in case of power failure. another thing is sirens would be disable because no camera would be on with the siren feature. can get some feedback on this thanks.
The Wyze Hub DOES have battery backup.
I still connect mine to a UPS that powers my Modem, Router and Wyze Hub and yes I continue to have connectivity/service through the app even when the power goes out, which it did just a week or 2 ago.
FYI, even if you didn’t put the router, modem or hub on a UPS, the hub has it’s own battery backup and will continue to function locally with the keypad even if there is no power. It will even still sound the alarm siren, etc if triggered. The only thing is that if there is no internet then it can’t send a notification to you or the professional monitoring company…so it’s best if you have a UPS for your router and modem too, and putting the hub on a UPS will make sure the battery lasts longer during an outage.
