Can someone tell me how to get a Google to turn on my Wyze lights using the Google Home on my iPhone.
I used to say “Hey Google” turn on my lights, but doesn’t seem to be working anymore.
What happens when you try to reconnect your Wyze account to your Google Home account?
- In the Google Home app, navigate to Settings ➜ Services ➜ Works with Google ➜ Wyze Home ➜ Reconnect account.
- You can also try saying, “Hey, Google, sync my devices.”
Occasionally I have problems with another manufacturer’s smart LED bulbs, and when I get impatient waiting for the issue to resolve itself, I do this:
- Power cycle each bulb (just turn it off for a few seconds at the switch and turn it back on).
- Use the Google Home app to reboot each smart speaker/display.
- Reboot the modem/router/WAP.
That usually takes care of it. Sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it’s a waiting game if there’s a temporary cloud glitch. In more extreme cases, I factory reset the bulbs, complete setup in their native app to ensure that firmware is current, and then add them back to Google Home.

Thank you sir. Your help was great. What I found out was that I was trying to use “hey Google” to turn on my lights using Google rather that Google Assistant. As soon as I resurected my Google Assistant app on my iPhone all was fixed. Thanks again
