have windows laptop but no smartphone. can I still use the Wyze Cam Pan?

I am a newbie. I can’t seem to download the app. When I try to download the Wyze Cam Pan app to my laptop, I am getting the message “this app only available on app store for IOS device”.

(I did also purchase a 32 GB card if that can somehow be used instead - which I doubt)

There is no Windows app for Wyze Cam (and there probably will never be one).

The workaround is to install an Android emulator such as BlueStacks or Nox on your Windows machine and then install the Wyze app within the emulator.

i may try this myself. having it on the phone is nice, but having it on the pc is better

I tried/installed BlueStacks4. It installed. Then I clicked on the wyzecam app, and it downloaded fine, into BlueStacks. I got as far as successfully reading the QR (or whatever it’s called). But in all kinds of confusing ways, it then rejected password related issues.

I need to work on some other things, and in a week or so, I will come back to this, but try instead AMIDuOS, which I got from reading some articles.

What I should do is just buy a smart phone (android).

Anyway, the Wyze Cam Pan is really amazing even as far as I got with it. And only $30.

Emulators work for viewing cameras that have already been set up. I’m not sure it’s possible to do the setup steps through an emulator though.
