Google TV streaming ( a little bit)

Minor arrrgggh.

So I have Wyze cams streaming great in Alexa on TV …
I went back to check my streaming on Google TV for Wyze cams and it seems to be gone.

Google TV announces very nicely that is streaming my Wyze cam on Google TV but then nothing …

Hmmm persisted further…
Door cam pro and og cams seem to work with persistence. Sometimes right away and sometimes on 3rd or 4th try .. (SO at least the Google to Wyze streaming interface IS Working from voice command for some of Wyze cams)
No other cams are working …

3-4 months ago they were working …

I was on Google TV support with an escalation … they said the interface is 3rd party responsibility to program …
I will go back in my notes as to when I last had this working … on Google TV.

Update.

I just found that I can add all of my Wyze cams in as favorites under favorites ‘camera category’ on Google Home app on iPhone/iPad.
I can then access them all directly on Google TV using the new Google Home feature on the Google TV .
They may not all display previews but if you click on each of the Wyze cameras it does go to full screen on the Google TV.
The interface is awkward but does work. i cannot access my Wyze cams thru Google Home automation yet to stream them to Google TV based on voice command. ..l working on it … In progress…
This picture shows 3 of my Wyze cams. I can scroll down and see the other 11 outdoor cams and click each of them to full screen. As well as scroll up and see my Nest cams.

What I’ve experienced is that any Wyze Cam (including video doorbells) I add to a home in the Google Home app (I’m using Android) is automatically added to the Cameras tile at the top left of the Favorites tab on the app’s home screen. I didn’t have to select any of them as Favorites.

Yeah, I noticed this a few months ago, first on a Chromecast HD connected to a non-Google TV and then on a television running Google TV. In that same section under the upper-right Settings gear is a Google Home tile that also lets me control lights and fans (the latter via smart plugs and switches) with my TV remote. Camera streaming is still hit or miss for me, much like within the Google Home app on my phone, but it’s cool to have the picture on such a big display when it decides to work.

I was doing this before with a video doorbell, at one point using automations in the Wyze and Google Home apps to stream the doorbell’s feed to a Google Home Hub, a Chromecast-connected TV, and a Google TV following a doorbell button press. I don’t have all of that connected at the moment, though, so I’m unable to test currently to see if it still works.

In the room where my Google TV is, I also have a Google Home Mini, and I usually just talk to that and ask Google Assistant to show me a camera if I want to view it on that TV. If that doesn’t work the first time, it usually works the second…sometimes third, if needed, so I guess that’s similar to the experience you’re describing.

I don’t know how helpful it is, but it’s what was in my head that came out at that time.
