I ordered these tiny 3mm x1mm magnets from amazon and they turned out to be very tiny and weak magnets. I had trouble consistently getting the sensor to trigger with these magnets. In my case these 3mm x1mm magnets only worked with I had more than one stacked and the magnet was directly in contact with the sensor closer to where the reed switch was. I ordered a few bigger magnets 6mm x 3mm and plan to drill the plunger to make the magnet sit flush in the plunger. Will let you know if I have any success with it.
