Get faster notifications through same wifi network

I live overseas and although the app notification works quite well, in particular for the doorbell I think it should notify a bit faster, I end up in situations when I get the notification and the person already left 1 or 2 minutes after rang.

It would be nice to have a feature where while i’m connected to the same wifi network, I can be notified through some kind of p2p connection instead going through the internet. That will reduce the ping.

Have you tried Voice Over IP (VOIP)? Not sure if it will work at your location, but it’s worth a try:
