I am hoping to get FLP as the next device for RTSP. Does anyone know where I can find a road map of the planned roll out for what is coming for RTSP updates?
I own a FLP and a few V3’s , have the V3s working in Blue Iris want to have the FLP added. Also want to add a Doorbell v2 once they are RTSP capable
There is no public roadmap for RTSP. We were recently told that we can likely expect the V4 and V3Pro to get it next. In late summer or fall when they were discussing their initial plans, they did mention that the Floodlight Pro was among the camera models they were expecting to add RTSP on, but it wouldn’t be in the first release group. So I still expect they’ll add it, but it’s down list.
We currently have it for V3 and Pan V3.
We are told likely the v4 and and V3Pro are next.
We were told others were expected after that, and the floodlight pro was previously mentioned among the likely future models.
There is not currently an official timeline though.
this is probably going to make me ditch wyze all together. Their model has become more and more annoying (and expensive) with time and we’ve been screwed multiple times from not being able to retrieve footage on a remote device with an SD card because we didn’t have the plan for that particular camera.
You don’t need a subscription plan for that. My family all have these cameras without a subscription on them and they work fine with the SD card without a plan. These cameras were specifically designed to be one of the best options without a plan. They even include free local AI detections that work on the camera without a plan. Nearly all Wyze cameras work with the SD card without a plan.
SD card events are just stored differently than cloud events. You don’t view them in the “events” tab. That tab is a dedicated section for just cloud events. You have to click on the SD card icon or playback button on the camera UI to view the SD card recordings.
