Ever since the last cam update both my floodlight pro cams constantly get “failed to connect, error -3005. Unable to view live stream but are recording events and setting notifications.
I have verified the cams are connected to my router with strong signal and the latest firmware. Both cams are within 15 feet of the router.
All other cams and devices working normally have contacted tech support and no help there.
For approximately 2 months, my floodlight pro keeps going off line. I have a solid wifi connection with a port just 10 feet from it. I am really getting fed up with this. I am considering switching my entire system to another brand.

I am guessing, since no reply, that the floodlight pro’s are not worth the money. I have received no help from Wyze and am tired of resetting my camera every other day.
I don’t own any of the Wyze Cam Floodlights, but the one community volunteer I know who really likes Cam Floodlight Pro is @carverofchoice. I’m kind of surprised he hasn’t already had something to say in this topic.
I saw a couple other people report issues with the floodlight Pro after the most recent firmware update. I tried to replicate the errors in almost every way I can, but all six of mine are working flawlessly at the moment. I had people give me exact instructions of ways to replicate it and things to do to cause it to have problems, and I did everything exactly as said and I cannot get my floodlight pros not to work perfectly. But, there are definitely more than one person reporting that they are having an issue. I just can’t seem to help with it since I can’t get mine not to work right. I don’t know why all of mine are working great, but I kind of wish I could replicate it so that I could try to help provide better testing and logs and everything to help resolve it for the people that are struggling. But for some reason mine are totally fine. I haven’t been posting about it in these topics because I haven’t had anything to help. wish I did.
That’s beta firmware, though, right? I’ve read your discussions in Wyze Floodlight Pro Firmware Beta Test 3/18/2026, which is one reason I’ve tried to solicit firmware versions from the users in this topic who are reporting problems. My understanding is that the most recent production firmware for Cam Floodlight Pro was released nearly a year ago.
I thought maybe you would’ve seen this one by now. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my ping.
Oh wow, I didn’t realize it was still in beta. For some reason I thought it got pushed out to production already.
Yeah, I started with half my devices on beta and half on production, but the beta was working great and someone reported issues, so I converted the rest to the beta firmware to help have more options to find a problem with. For some reason I thought it was released.
That definitely means I can’t help on the public firmware since I converted the last of my devices to the beta already now. But I wasn’t having issues on either firmware. Which is weird, because often if there is a serious issue, I seem to be among the first to notice and experience it like some jinx magnet…but this time I got nothin’.
