Tried the install last night and it failed (Android app used). The camera was listed offline afterward. This morning the camera is back online and showing the update available. This time the update completed and the camera is working.
After updating to this I cant’t connect to my cameras. They are online but I can’t get to them anymore in the app. It never makes it to step 3 of connect.
Installed FW via the Device settings area. No issues with the install and seems to be working fine.
I used my Android device to do this install.
Updated 3 at once via Android, they all completed on the first attempt.
Switched back and forth between the 3 many times, no connection drops, and no stuttering with movement, cars people etc go smooth.
I’m also have the same issue before the update. Gets stuck on 2of 3 never connects I’m on 2.2.1.1335 reboot also eject sd card same don’t connect. No change in WiFi or anything. All other 13 Wyze camera works fine
I wasn’t having any problems on my FLPro devices. I installed this new firmware anyway. It installed without issue. Everything is still running well. ![]()
I will keep an eye on it.
I was just testing again after work it connect fine on WiFi not on cellular data. Reboot phone hard force network and It’s just stuck on not connecting 2/3. It giving error code 15. I’ve also tried the new beta app and same thing
I get all kinds of error codes on cellular only.
3 cams updated, not able to connect to to them now if on cellular data.
Haven’t tried to be on someone elses wifi…
Thanks for clarifying this. I just turned off my WiFi and it does get stuck on 2 of 3.
@WyzeJasonJ @WyzeAndy issue with this Beta on Cell Service and not WiFi. Seems to get a stuck on step 2 of 3. Image below (Note it is the 3rd time it is trying to connect):
Log #: 2338241
When connected to WiFi the FLPro connects quickly.
Thanks for the clarification.
@WyzeJasonJ @WyzeAndy I can confirm that this firmware only allows me to connect locally over the Wi-Fi router that the floodlight Pro is on. If I try to connect through a different network or my cellular data, it fails to connect and gives error code 20. This happens 100% of the time.
Please let the devs know this critically needs to be resolved before pushing it to public production firmware.
Can we get a couple of other people to submit logs for this also? Thanks guys.
Yep same all the other cameras connect fine except floodlights pro. I Also didn’t try different WiFi network. Just my own, nothing changed it was working fine until update also when trying to view sd card same it skip hiccup. Even tried reinstalling/remove sd card nothing
Thanks mods for duplicated the issue
Flood light pro no connect on cellular just WiFi LOG # 2338263
Btw. The cameras are working fine. Collecting events and I can watch the videos of events. Just can’t connect to the floodlight cameras anymore. My non-floodlight pros work fine. It’s just the new update on the floodlights that’s insane.
HOW?!!
How can something as simple as testing at the developer’s location to see if the update works for simple connectivity outside their own network?
Do the developers not have cell phones?
Do they not have access to other networks?
VPN’s?
Proxies?
Again!..
What are they testing before breaking our systems?
(Yes, we volunteer to be beta testers)
But not alpha testers!
I would love to see their checklists they are required to go through before releasing stuff outside the company…
And it is outside the company.
We aren’t on their payroll.
We weren’t sent free stuff to test their code on, we paid them for it.

And to help the beta testers, there should be easy ways to revert without getting physical access to the cams, expecially when they work locally.
Yes. It’s worth mentioning that I upgraded while out of town. Can’t connect via hotel WiFi or cellular.
In the last several weeks, I’ve been unable to connect to all my Floodlight Pro cams remotely. The connection will be stuck at Authenticating step 2 of 3 before timing out with either -15, -16, or \\errorcode \code (depending on whether trying from Android, iOS, or web)
Connection is fine when app is on same Wi-Fi network.
Regular Floodlight v1 is fine.
Ridiculous to have jenky workarounds like a VPN or Automation rule to see 12sec clip at a time.
Anyone else experience this?

Yes we know this is happening. There’s already an open thread on this subject all wee just look under the beta floodlight. Work on WIFI NOT cellular. Mods has also duplicated the issue just read /look search the forums
