How can you resolve all the false person notifications at night when bugs fly in front of the camera and our car is tagged, sends video of bugs and car being tagged in video. This happens every night. Makes the camera useless at night. There has to be a solve for this. Camera up to date and so is app
Is it person or vehicle, you’re saying both.
If it is vehicle, exclude the vehicle using detection zone. Any time there is motion, it analyzes the still frame for any object you’ve asked it to identify, in this case it sees a car and tags it as such, so you need to block it out.
If it is person, then you’ve got some weird ass bugs and you need an exterminator.
Vehicle is unchecked for both detection & notification. When I get the notifications, it says person detected and when I review the video, the green movement tags both the bugs and the car.
I’ve always had vehicle unchecked because it triggers vehicle alerts for our parked car in the driveway. Sort of useless since there is a flaw in the WYZE AI program. Sure would be nice to detect a car pulling into our driveway. We have a long driveway in the country, so no main road or anything to interfere or cars passing by. If I blocked out the car area, sort of defeats the purpose of a security camera if someone tried to break into the car…
It must be falsely interpreting something as a person that is in the field of view. Note that it is not only where the green box tags movement, it analyzes the entire picture.
If you block out the car and enable vehicle alerts, it will still see someone walking up to the car and thus record the incident, and be able to tag the cars coming into your driveway since that part won’t be blocked out.
If you post a still shot where something was detected as a person maybe someone can recognize something that it might be falsely identifying. You can also use the feedback function to help improve the algorithm.
Feedback function is a joke. I’ve been sending WYZE videos for weeks (actually months) and no solutions. Again, one should not have to block out a non moving vehicle or a certain part of my driveway to gain the ability to see other vehicles coming up my driveway.
I’m pretty heavily invested in WYZE devices, so not ready to bale, but this issue is very frustrating.
They don’t respond to every feedback, algorithms are trained by bulk information.
I understand you’re frustrated but nobody here can fix anything, just suggest ways to try and get things working better. Some of the cam models reportedly are no longer flagging parked cars, maybe it will come to the floodlight soon, but in the meantime, blocking out your parked car is going to make things work better, and as long as you’re pretty specific with the detection zone, should not impact any other functionality.
