First event in event list will never load

No matter which of 6 cameras records the first event in the event list, it will not load. I can delete the events, activate an event, same thing. This involves 6 different cameras and 3 or 4 models. And, it doesn’t matter which camera records the first event. Everything is up to date.

That issue has been posted about here numerous times by other users. I have not had that issue yet on any of my 14 cams. I’m using the iOS app. Must be a cloud issue sometimes?

It is not a cloud issue I don’t think. It NEVER loads the first video. Go to any other event and it plays immediately. This has gone on for 3-4 weeks now.

It is still happening. It’s happening to me right now. I have 2 outdoor cams with base station and cannot load the 1st event.

This “first event keeps loading” has been happening to me for about 4 months.
I’ve notified Wyze twice about this.Their response to me was to apply all updates to Wyze app, firmware and phone updates when they become available. I have a v2 camera on cam plus lite and an IPhone SE2.Do you have similar setup? If anyone on this thread/topic has found a fix for this via Wyze app settings, please share. I am aware of the workarounds (viewing on the web, viewing the SD card, etc.) but I’m looking for a fix. Thanks.

Yep same here still. I have a iphone 13 mini, it and Wyze and all products updated. Same response from Wyze just yesterday as a matter of fact. Wonder if we can download an older version and install it. Another weird issue was that my wyze plug was working but it showed as offline and was blinking blue. Stupid me decided I would unplug it and try to get it to quit blinking, borked the whole thing up now that plug wont work at all. Please post here if you get anywhere.

Anyone have a solution? Worse thing is even thought 1st event will play on the website when it plays theirs zero sound!

I also have a V2 camera with basic service and an iPhone SE 2020. When looking at events by calendar day, the first event of the most recent day won’t load. All the software and firmware is current.

Well, there have been to app upgrades and my first video will n o t LOAD still.

Still running older app version 2.50.7 and no issues, there is a reason I don’t update :rofl:

At Wyze they fix one thing in an update and break several other things, no quality control just release and let the customer find the issues :rofl::joy::rofl::joy:

It is just aggravating they can’t fix something like this in a reasonable time. I know it is hard to makes something work on 265 different phones running umpteen different operating systems but, that’s their job.

I don’t have an issue with the first event of the day playing 99% of the time. I have had a few in the past that wouldn’t play. iOS app 3.4.0 (11) , iOS 18.4.1.
This 02:13 video from this morning (First Event) played just fine.

This is complete BS & as someone who has recommended co-workers buy the Wyze products I for one will no longer do so.

I still have this issue of not being able to play the first notification of each day within the Wyze app itself. It seems as though the company has given up on trying to find a fix for this issue which first presented itself more than 7 months ago after a Wyze app update. Has anyone who has been experiencing this problem been able to find a fix “accidentally” by changing any settings? I have a V2 camera, cam Lite, IOS is up to date and the Wyze app and firmware are up to date, too. All written responses to me from a few “people” at Wyze, via email seem to have the same writing style and might have been written by the same entity (AI?). The responses to me have always contained the usual jargon and the same recommended steps everyone has tried to no avail (updates, clean cache, sign out/in, etc.).

Latest Wyze app beta for iOS 3.6.0(2) seem to fix this issue on my iPad (7th gen) and iPhone 11 for my Cam V3.

You may want to try to see if it works for you. YMMV. Or you can wait until the stable version is released.

I have no interest in being a free beta tester for a company, so they can fix things that they should have found during testing prior to releasing it.
