Like you, v4.52.17.26 didn’t fix anything for me.
Still see stutter playback from SD Card and Timeline clock ahead of Camera clock by 4-5 sec.
The time shown on the timeline and the camera have never matched on any of my eleven plug in cameras. V3/V3 PRO/V4.
Amen. I was sitting perfect this week with no problems until I updated my v4s and the app. Now I have choppy cloud playback and an app that won’t live stream correctly. Learned my lesson with updates.

Before this update my out of sync would sometimes end up being minutes and the car or whatever you were trying to capture would just vanish. Try living with that.
Now its all perfectly in sync and i can make micro adjustments to find events perfectly. The date and time matches exactly and on the occasion it doesnt, its only out by a second or two but doesnt effect the scrolling or viewing of the sd card whatsoever. This firmware update absolutely fixed my problem and i wont be updating it again anytime soon.
Adding my 2 cents to the issue:
FW update .26 on my v4’s have the stutter on cloud video playback but no stutter on sdcard playback.
Yes! My problem exactly.
Can’t roll back firmware anymore? Can Wyze confirm this? I am trying to use an older version firmware for my device, it is right file, its right filename, its only thing on sd card, and the camera wont boot to recovery(no purple light) and just keeps rebooting in normal mode.
Is this more of the secureboot nonsense to lock people out of their own devices? this lockdown and forcing people to use a specific thing is getting out of hand. Especially coming from a company that doesn’t even build their own hardware and merely whitelabels some cheap massproduced camera
Flashed v4 to older firmware “before” yes..but before these last 2 versions of firmware?
I have flashed other cameras before and know the procedures, and also followed step by step, Yes I used a 32gb on one to try, formatted fat32, just the bin, named just like it says. Nothing. Tried with a clean formatted fat32 8gb, just the bin, named as it says.. Nothing
3-6 seconds the light just stays red. At one point around that it does “Flash” purple for one second and goes back to red. Which indicates to me, something is blocking it booting that firmware file and it proceeds to boot normal
WYZE took away all of the v4 firmware and refuses to make it available. I’ve been on this since January of 2026. Like other issues I’ve tracked for years that went nowhere. Eventually we’ll be told to just let it go…like I was told about other issues.
