That’s really weird…This same firmware was just launched as a Beta firmware test only 4 hours previously.
I would normally expect Beta testing to take longer than 4 hours ![]()
Actually it posted yesterday. I’ve had it for a day and a half. I’m not surprised they are going PR that quickly.
May I suggest specifying the target camera in the post header?
Totally agree, I personally don’t need to know about firmware releases for gear that I don’t own.
I’d like to try it, but unfortunately my new Pan V4 died yesterday after less than a month. It comes up as error 3005, but it actually won’t even power up. I even tried different cables, USB power supplies, and removing the SD card. Nothing happens with the reset button either.
This update is only partly a fix.
Yoy can now have it stay on a place as long as you are in the wyze app.
As soon as you close the app and go back.. The view is back to home.
It will not stay on a set point or way point!
That’s weird, how would the camera know that the app was closed? Yes, it possibly can, but that’s too much trouble working it into the design. That development time is better used to fixing bugs instead.
I think what’s happening is that the camera is returning to its home position after some idle time. Time to make the home position optional.
As a quick workaround, if you want to fix the camera to a certain position, reset the home position. Not perfect, but should be workable.
I’m not seeing that. Make sure we’re apples and apples. I have tracking and scan turned off.
I have opened and closed the app 5 times. Each time it is where I left it. Something else must be going on.
Is there an update for the V4 cameras alerting for stationary vehicles? I wake up to no less than 30 vehicle detected alerts. 2 of which are actually vehicles. But trees waving and bugs and sometimes nothing set off the alert and because my parked vehicles are in frame I’m getting a ton of unnecessary notifications. While not getting notifications for actual events.
Mine stopped working. Brought it inside to charge with power. The battery area is FULL of water. Cleaned it out. Charged it. Still will not connect. It said it was water proof but I’m thinking it isn’t ![]()
Look for water at the charging port.
There’s no battery in the new Pan Cam V4. That said, this camera was completely dry and installed under a water protected area. Wize already sent a replacement that I received yesterday, but I think I’m either going to install it somewhere different or wait until more bugs are worked out.

Which device is giving you problems? As @raym64 indicated, Cam Pan v4 (the subject of this topic) is not a battery-powered device, so your posts seem misplaced. If you can provide some information about what you’re actually using, then we can ask the Moderators to reclassify your posts and try to get better visibility for your issue.
