Today we are releasing firmware version 4.70.0.2595 for the Wyze Cam Pan v4. This improves device offline stability and fixes an issue where bounding boxes were still drawn for stationary objects.

I installed the firmware without issue. It seems to fix the issue of drawing the green box around a parked vehicle, and the green box would stay for hours even though the vehicle didn’t move at all. I’m glad that is fixed.
But if a person walks by a parked car, it still creates an event by identifying a person and a vehicle, even though the vehicle hasn’t moved in hours. I know there’s been discussions on this forum where some people say it’s just identifying objects it recognizes. But I believe it should only identify a vehicle if it is moving, otherwise it is misleading, making me think a car has driven into my driveway.
I will check with the team, but I believe it is still analyzing an image and seeing a vehicle, it is unaware if the vehicle is moving or not. I know we are working on ‘moving vehicle’ notification but I do not believe it is implemented quite yet. I will ask though and see if there is a timeline.
