Did anyone else lose connectivity to their cam after attempting to install this firmware? I rebooted the cam after a few hours and it remains offline.
Turns out, my SanDisk “High Endurance” (not) card failed and the Cam Pan v4 would not boot until it was removed (despite the card being unreadable anyway).
Yeah, but there is a glitch!
“Device Info”, “Network”, “Change” gives you this message "You will need to update the
device firmware to use this feature. OK". Maybe Wyze could PROVIDE an update because we have the CURRENT most recent firmware installed (4.70.1.3311). As a result we cannot change networks for the wifi connection, unlike our other cameras that have the same options and WORK when you select “change”.
This FW has done something to the charging on solar. It no longer functions. It has something to do with the recall. We are not being told the full reason for the recall or what is going on. Wyze, pull your head out and speak up. Nothing your are doing currently makes any sense in regards to this recall and how you are handling it. This FW has essentially disabled the reason for having the cam in the first place, the Solar charging in a location without AC. You can’t downgrade FW from what I can see, so I’m just stuck liket his now. Unusable camera with only an option to refund and return is… Because people don’t understand how screws work? come on Wyze, WTH is going on?
