Started having this issue last night. I’m not clear as to what I need to do to correct this. I’m on the latest iOS and latest version of the Wyze app.
Try logging out of, then back into the app.
That made things worse. Now I don’t see any of my devices or account information and I’m getting the same error.
Just an update. I chatted with Customer Support. They had me force quit the app and reboot my router. Neither of them did the trick. I also just noticed that I have zero Events recorded since Saturday when this started happening. My case was sent to their engineers. Anyone else having this issue?
Having the same problem the last few days, No Notifications are working. Can access everything fine off the home WIFI
Wondering what we have in common with our wifi network. I’m using an Eero router how about you?
Have you tried using a different device to log into the app on? what actual app version are you using? do you have a VPN in use? If so try disabling it if its enabled. Have your tried wifi vs mobile data?
@dannwk , are you using a VPN while on mobile data?
I tried my Ipad…same issue. I am running the latest version of the app. No VPN. .Works over mobile data.
No VPN, No Changes except it might have stopped working about the time I upgraded to IOS 16
What actual version of the app are you using? There are different app branches that all can say " up to date", so by saying the actual app version numbers will differentiate between you having the production version, the beta version, etc. Same thing with device firmware, always say the actual firmware version if you ever having issues because the different branches that could display up to date.
I am using 2.34.1 (1)
thank you
Sure thing. I’m running 2.34.1.1 the latest version in the App Store.
I’m having the same issue and it seems to have started around the same you guys reported it.
Works fine off of Wi-Fi , but the moment I’m on Wi-Fi all I get is the error
I removed the majority of my devices(don’t recommend doing it) and now I can’t add them back because the QR code doesn’t display in the app
Welcome to the club. Sorry you disconnected your devices. I bought a new camera and can’t get it installed either. It times out trying to connect to my network. I hope they fix this soon.
I thought it was a camera acting out so one by one I started disconnecting. Currently all I have is 1 camera connected and a home monitoring hub
The issue isn’t limited to iOS the same thing is happening on android as well. I get the same error just a different number
The engineers tried saying my network wasn’t connecting to their servers, which could be right. It doesn’t make sense though because if I’m on cellular data it works fine so my camera and monitoring hub are connected and reaching their server with the Wi-Fi
I was having the same issue while back and it turns out it is an issue with Wyze servers than not everyone at Wyze is aware.
Here is a link:
I don’t want to be that guy, but this issue has happened before. It also seems like this time around it’s been carrying on for days and there has been no update from Wyze.
I like Wyze and not trying to knock them, but I’m also not going to be paying for a service that I can’t use.
How do I pause/put on hold my cam plus and home monitoring subscriptions ?
I’m not going to cancel and sign up again because I’m grandfathered into the $4.99 a month on the home monitoring.
Ugh…it’s news like this that is making me wanna give up on Wyze. I just bought a camera and sounds like I should send it back and get new cameras…
What worked for me was, I turned the VPN on both my iPhone and iPad and that bypassed my network. Not sure why it happens but that solved the problem for me. Couple day later, I turned the VPN off and all was good. It happened here and there again, but I knew how to solve the problem Ever since, it’s been almost a month, everything has been running fine.
Good luck, it’s Wyze after all. Love it or hate it, leave it or keep it…
@habib it looks like you’ve made more progress into this issue than wyze has.
I turned on my vpn and the error has gone away!
Still having an issue as I’ve removed all of my devices, but now the qr code does popup for me to add the device. Its timing out, but that’s further than I’ve been able to go before
It almost seems like wyze is blocking my IP address.
