Event Viewer - Swipe to Delete/Download

So, in a given day I get a number of events that I’m alerted about. when I look at the long list of events, I want to swipe left on some events to delete them, because that’s the natural touch action in many other applications - swipe left (with delete confirmation, of course.) I also thought that you could add a swipe-right function on the event to download it.

You might also add a long-press on one event to bring up a checkbox next to every event in the list, so that a user could quickly mark many events for download or deletion.

Regarding the last part of your wish, you can currently tap the three dot (…) icon on the event list, choose Delete Events which brings up a checkbox on each to delete them en-mass.

Or you can “select all” at the bottom.

Thanks! Download would be good, too…

When looking at a long list of Events in the app, some of them I obviously don’t need to pursue and it would be nice to remove them from the list quickly… by simply swiping left.

As opposed to the current method where there is a “Delete Events” mode in the dots menu, I would favor behavior where you press and hold an event to add it to your selection, just like in many smartphone email clients.

I’d also like to be able to swipe across an item to delete a single event. Maybe that could reveal a trashcan button, if people are concerned about accidental deletion of important clips.

Would be nice if you were able to delete an event by swiping left in the event list. This is more in line with how other iOS apps are designed.

It’s annoying and time consuming to have to select/view a recorded event before deleting it. It’d be so much quicker to swipe left like iOS or mobile Gmail.

You do not have to view an event before deleting it. Instead, tap the three dot ellipsis icon (…) top right, then Delete Event. You can select any or all of the displayed events and delete them at once.

Loki, thanks. That feature is not obvious enough for good UX, but it’ll work for now.

SWIPE-LEFT for delete please!

Enabling delete using the three dots is useful, but not friendly for culling a long event list while jumping in/out of viewing individual videos.

I was about to post this, and I see that others have had the same, obvious idea, based on how almost every mobile application allows users to delete items quickly from a list.

Come on Wyze, hire a UI/UX specialist, any of them will tell you that the current options of drilling into an event to delete it individually, or going through the multi-step delete multiple/all sequence, are not good user experiences when you want to quickly erase one or several events.

Hi.

When using the Wyze app, to delete an event video, can we have a feature where we can just “Swipe left” on the video to delete it?

It’s faster than:

  1. opening up the video then hitting delete
  2. using the Select All feature then Delete

I live in a Condo and we have monthly Fire Alarm tests.

It’s just quicker for me to swipe left !

I would like (wish) to see the ability to swipe right (or left) to delete recorded events. Having to open each one is tedious when you know it’s you pulling into the garage or out of the garage or the garage light going out after you’ve pulled in. If you know what the event is about you could just swipe to the right and it would delete the event much like most e-mail apps do with e-mail.
I know I could just turn off the recording, or that space doesn’t matter and things get overwritten when the free GB is full but when I happen to be on that page I really do wish I could just swipe on each one to delete them.

Please consider two delete options.
One would be to make a quick delete function for each event by swiping left to expose a red delete button…kinda like how many email apps work.
Second…an option to “delete all” of the event notifications with one click instead of having to do one at a time.

This feature is already in the app. From the Events screen, tap the three dot (…) icon, then Delete Events. At the lower left, you’ll see a Select All button. Tap that then Delete. (Before doing this, scroll all the way to the bottom to be sure all events have loaded.)

Thanks…found it!

You can only delete 20 events at a time that way.

If you scroll down before tapping the three dots you can get them all on the screen then go through the delete process and do them all at once

There should be an easier way to delete the 12 second motion clips from the events screen. Perhaps just ‘swipe’ to one side, or to ‘edit’ the list, tag all of the events you want to delete and delete them in bulk.
