Estranged family keep visiting Wyze house- then all cams: "This device is offline"

Cams work fine when authorized family are there for yard/house cleaning. But within a day or two the cams all go offline.

The WIFI service is through Spectrum. They have come out and replaced the modem and router TWICE in 3 months.

I have no proof that something nefarious is afoot, but it seems suspicious, no?
How can I get to the bottom of this?

Your subject talked about estranged family members, but your message talks about authorized family members. A little hard to follow.

If everything goes off line at the same time, I would wonder if you have someone jamming your WiFi. You can search the forum for some other threads on that topic.

Do they have your router’s login/password? If remote router administration is activated, they can do whatever they want from anywhere.

Check if the login credentials are printed at the bottom of the router.

Any update on this issue?

My family is estrange, too. But lovable in a suburban sort of way.

Some Apple users are indian givers. My nephew gave me an old one he’d forgotten in his glove box and then took it back. I mean, c’mon, what the heck?

Hey watch it folks! Don’t you badmouth Apple users, we tend to get protective of our toys

For me, it’s the proverbial club that wouldn’t have me as a member. Even with that endorsement, I don’t want to belong.

Everyone is welcome as long as they abide by the rules.

  1. Any OS that is not conceived by Apple is pure crap.
  2. When it comes to Apple products, you get what you pay for.
  3. There are only two types of cars in the world, Mercedes and everything else. Also, there are only two types of computers, Apple and everything else, two types of phones, iPhone and … (you get the point)
  4. You have to be willing to sell or trade your first born for an Apple product.
  5. Shall I go on?

All forgiven, since you apologized

The only reason I am carrying an iPhone is because work forced me to carry the piece of @#$%^ I am looking forward to the day I give it back when I retire.
I have a substantial disrespect of the Apple corporation and their products.

Retirement is great if you have either saved a ton of :moneybag: :moneybag: or have a guaranteed substantial life time income. It works for me because I am lucky enough to have both. I use my $ to feed the :raccoon: gang and my :turkey: friend.

A ton? Is that in coin or dollar bills? Pennies weigh a lot.

Bills. Of course I do have a very large jar full of pennies also. It’s all money.
:dollar: :dollar: :dollar: :dollar:

Had a customer years ago who was a few fries short of a happy meal, elevator didn’t go to the top floor, etc. He was fine driving, but looked at life in a different way.

We knew he was a half a bubble off, and didn’t think much of it.

He told us, in his exact words “I know I have issues, I’ve learned to live with them, I hope you can too.”

From then on, he didn’t seem as quirky.
